AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): To commemorate the second anniversary of the demise of Ayatollah Sayed Hadi Khosroshahi, the webinar “Man of Approximation Square” was held on Sunday evening, February 20, 2022, by the Office for Iran Affairs of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in cooperation with the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and similar institutions.
In this webinar, Mohsen Meschi emphasized, “Ayatollah Khosroshahi had an excellent understanding of international issues and played an important role in linking the seminary of Qom to international institutions, and vice versa.”
“This acquaintance goes back to before the Islamic Revolution and the reading of late Khosroshahi’s articles in the magazines of that time. In those magazines, he wrote along with many scholars such as Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, Ayatollah Sobhani, Professor Fakhruddin Hejazi, Mahmoud Hakimi, Ayatollah Taleghani, etc. After the Revolution, I became more acquainted with his great personality through the connections we had in various institutions and conferences,” said the Deputy for Iran Affairs of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, referring to his acquaintance with Ayatollah Khosroshahi.
“The late Khosroshahi had five-dimensional understanding in cultural, international, press and media, contemporary history and approximate issues,” he added.
“Culturally, the late Khosroshahi was a comprehensive figure due to his upbringing in a cultural family and his studies in the classes of great masters. He was one of the most valuable contemporary cultural experts. His contacts with the offices of Qom Sources of Emulation and scientific figures, and his meetings with great international personalities, made him a comprehensive cultural figure,” Meschi said about the first dimension of his personality.
“From the first article he wrote in honor of his late father in 1953 to the end of his life in February 2020, in these seven decades, he moved on to writing, researching and essays. He was a man of the press, authorship and research, and his works illustrates this,” Meschi said, regarding the press and media understanding of the late Khosroshahi.
“The late Khosroshahi authored and edited nearly 200 volumes of books, and wrote more than 300 articles on various topics, and about 220 articles have been uploaded to Wiki Noor. He also wrote in many magazines and newspapers such as Rah-e-Haq, Nedaye-e-Haq, Maktab-e-Islam, Aiin-e-Islam, Shiite School, Ostovar Magazine, Mahd-e Azadi, Peykar-e Andisheh, Kayhan, Ettelaat, Quarterly Journal of Contemporary History and Culture, and Besat Magazine. He was an expert in the press and media activities,” added the Deputy for Iran Affairs of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
“From the beginning of his seminary education, he sought to discover international issues, parties, and organizations in the Islamic world, and was associated with many of them in different parts of the world. During his many travels, he became acquainted with cultural and international figures. His presence in Qom and the Islamic Propagation Center before the Islamic Revolution, in which many international figures were active, was also very effective. He had an excellent understanding of international issue and played a valuable role in linking the seminary of Qom to international organizations and vice versa,” he also said, regarding the international understanding of the late Khosroshahi.
“His contacts with great figures and professors, and the study of their works, made him an expert in contemporary history, and this is evident in his valuable works. His research on great figures of the Islamic world such as Sayed Qutb, Sayed Jamal al-Din Asadabadi, Sheikh Mohammad Abduh and others, are unique,” Meschi said, pointing to the late Khosrowshahi’s understanding of the contemporary history.
“The late Khosroshahi was a man of the field of approximation (between Islamic denominations) and almost all of his life was intertwined with that. This led him to associate with many figures of Islam and other religions, and many friendships and the removal of many superstitions were due to his pro-proximity dimension,” said the Deputy for Iran Affairs of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought about the late Khosroshahi’s understanding of Islamic approximation.
“Among his relics are his righteous children who follow his valuable works. Also, his very valuable works, the valuable library he established in Pardisan region of Qom, which has books related to Islamic approximation, as well as the establishment of Islamic centers in Europe, and his press works are among his other relics,” he said, referring to the relics of the late Khosroshahi.
“His collection of works has been prepared as software in the Computer Research Center of Islamic Sciences (Noor). I hope that the family of the deceased will correct and coherent his information, which is sometimes inaccurate and incomplete on various sites, so that they can be published, and we can pay our respects to him,” he said.
