Pres. Raisi: Iran's policy to develop cooperation with friendly countries, especially Oman

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Thanking the official invitation of the Sultan of Oman to visit the country, the President said, "Our determination and policy is to develop cooperation with friendly countries, especially Oman."

Speaking on Wednesday in a meeting with Oman Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi, President Raisi thanked the Sultan of Oman's official invitation to visit the country, and said, "Without a doubt, these interactions can strengthen relations between the two countries and be effective in resolving regional and international issues".

The President noted that the positions of the Omani government have been good and firm and are significantly different from the behaviour of some countries in the region, adding, "Oman's attention to Palestine and Yemen and regional issues is significant".

Emphasising that the Omani government pays attention to the security of the region, the World of Islam and the oppressed in West Asia, Dr Raisi said, "Our relations with Oman are good, but in the field of economic and trade issues there is room for further development and ther are significant potentials in both countries that can be used to develop economic and trade relations".

Ayatollah Raisi also invited the Sultan of Oman to visit Tehran, emphasising, "Our will and policy in the Islamic Republic of Iran is to develop cooperation with friendly countries, especially Oman".

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi, appreciated the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran from its neighbours and said, "There are excellent relations between Iran and Oman, which have historically been based on mutual trust, respect and cooperation and positive cooperation for the benefit of regional and global security".

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman stated, "Certainly, your visit to Oman will be a historic trip and will achieve the goals of both nations. We will always support your pragmatic spirit in everything you do, and we will certainly strive to operationalise your approach to expanding relations".
