AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On the eve of the anniversary of the uprising of the people of Tabriz in 1977 against the Pahlavi regime, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei will deliver a speech via video conferencing.
On February 18, 1978, the people of Tabriz held a huge rally in the northwestern Iranian city to demand the overthrow of the Shah’s regime.
The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime in February 1979, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.
The program will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 17, and the speeches of the Leader of the Revolution will begin at around 10:25 AM.
The speech of the Leader of the Revolution will be broadcast live on the KHAMENEI.IR official site and Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) media.
Due to the observance of health protocols, this meeting will be held for the second consecutive year via video conferencing with the people present in the prayer hall of Tabriz.
