General Baqeri: Enemies can't dare to invade Iran because of its missile power

The Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri says Iran's missile power has caused the enemies to fear attacking Iran.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri says Iran's missile power has caused the enemies to fear attacking Iran.

Iran will continue the path towards the development of its missile power qualitatively and quantitatively with utmost strength, General Baqeri said on Wednesday, addressing a ceremony to unveil the country’s new precision-striking Ballistic missile named Kheybarshekan produced by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)’s experts.

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has unveiled a new ballistic missile with a range of 1,450 kilometers (900 miles), which enjoys high agility and is capable of striking its designated targets with pinpoint accuracy.

The missile, dubbed Khaybar Shekan, was put on display on Wednesday during a ceremony attended by Chief of Staff of Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Commander of the IRGC’s Aerospace Division Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh, and a number of other high-ranking military officials and commanders.

The missile also enjoys high maneuverability in face of anti-missile systems during the landing stage. It also is able to reach 1,450 kilometers or 900 miles with great accuracy.

The celebration ceremony coincided with celebrations in Iran commemorating the 1979 Islamic Revolution, which overthrew the US-backed Pahlavi dynasty.

Major General Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, called the enemies of Iran puppet of the arrogant world and the Israel and noted: "If there is security in Iran, the enemies are afraid of invading the country."
