AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A group of Indian religious and spiritual leaders including mystic gurus have paid a visit to the Islamic Research Foundation of Imam Reza holy shrine.
The visit was part of a summit named ‘Love of Holy Prophet’s Household Key to Islamic Ummah Unity ’, which was organized by Deputy Office for International Affairs of Imam Reza holy shrine and Ahl-ul-Bayt World Assembly. The goal of the meeting was identification of gurus of mystic sects in India in a bid to introduce religious sites and mausoleums in the country.
Commanding the respect of tens of millions of disciples, and given the fact that many high-ranking mystic leaders had joined the Infallible Imams in history, the Indian gurus used the opportunity to discuss the spirituality crisis and inattention to religious ethics in the world.
Dr. Ahad Faramarz Gharamaleki, head of Islamic Research Foundation, expanded on the link among wisdom, affection and truth, referring to a Hadith from Imam Reza (AS) as “God blesses the person who performs our orders, learns our knowledge and teaches people; because if they know the beauty of our words, they will follow us”.
He continued, “Pharaonic way of subservience rises from contempt and diminution, in contrast to adherence to Imam Reza (AS), which comes from knowledge and wisdom according to this Hadith”.
Gharamaleki also announced the establishment of a secretariat to boost scientific and cultural ties between the holy shrine and Indian religious sites.
Elsewhere in the meeting, Gholamreza Jalali, a director in Islamic Research Foundation, reported on an ongoing research about the roots of mysticism in India, drawing attention to the influence of Imam Reza’s teachings on Sufism there.
