AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): People in the Turkish city of Istanbul Sunday rallied to condemn the Saudi-led coalition's bombardment of war-ravaged Yemen, and to voice their support for the Ansarullah resistance movement as well as the Yemeni forces defending the Arab country.
Demonstrators in the largest city and principal seaport of Turkey chanted vociferous slogans like “Yemen is no longer alone”, “The Saudi killer must be held accountable”, and “Yemeni children should not die” in solidarity with the victims of foreign aggression in Yemen.
The protesters denounced the massacre of the people of Yemen and the extensive bombardment of Yemeni cities, civilian sites, and infrastructure by the Saudi-led coalition, calling on the United Nations and all other international organizations to take immediate action in order to stop the appalling crimes.
Last week, the Saudi-led coalition's airstrikes on a detention facility in the Yemeni province of Sa’ada killed at least 91 people and injured many more.
For more than six years, the Riyadh-led military aggression in the besieged Arab country, aimed at re-installing the regime of Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, has spawned the most horrible humanitarian disaster.
The protracted war has killed hundreds of thousands of Yemeni civilians and turned the largely mountainous country into the scene of the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.
The United States, first under Barack Obama and later under Donald Trump and Joe Biden, has been the Saudi-led coalition’s partner in this devastating war that has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more.
The US and its Western allies, especially the UK, have backed the horrific war in Yemen by supplying lethal arms to Riyadh and its allies, as well as logistical and political support.
Despite the global conspiracy to crush the Yemeni resistance forces, they have only grown stronger, leaving Riyadh and its allies, most notably the United Arab Emirates, bogged down with losses.
