AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, referring to the brutal crime of the US in the region and assassination of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani and his comrades said that the masterminds of this heinous act must pay the price.
Mohammad Ali Hosseini made the remarks at ceremony held at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad to commemorate the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Soleimani and the acting commander of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) - known as the Hashd al-Shaabi - Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes.
The ceremony was attended by officials of Iranian institutions based in the Pakistani capital, Iranian diplomats, members of their families, as well as some Pakistani religious figures.
Iranian Ambassador in his views said that dear Martyr Soleimani was a true believer of Islam.
He added the outstanding characteristics of the commander of the Quds Force martyr during the last four decades proved maximum repulsion and anger against foreigners and anti-Islamists and kindness among the believers.
Describing the personality traits of General Soleimani, the ambassador said he had both repulsion and anger against the enemies and kindness towards friends.
Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan said perpetrators and masterminds of General Soleimani's assassination must pay for their crime.
Arif Wahidi, the chairman of Shia Ulema Council, also expressed his condolences to the people of Iran and the Supreme Leader on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Soleimani.
He said that the martyrdom of the heroes of the Resistance Front shook the world, adding the lives of these loved ones are a valuable model for all of us.
He added the Holy Quran, the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt, and the lessons of Karbala teach us to believe, not to be afraid of enemies, and to stand against oppression, and these are all personality traits.
Secretary General of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jaffari said that Islam is universal religion and does not belong to any particular nation or region, the Holy Prophet also came to guide humanity, so the message of Islam is for all the world.
He said Imam Khomeini introduced the pure Islam of Muhammad (PBUH) at a time when Islam was facing challenges.
He noted that in Imam Khomeini's school, many people grew up who were also involved in world thinking, and General Soleimani was one of them.
Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jaffari said Martyr Soleimani was a brave, generous person and a moral teacher for us.
IRGC Quds force commander Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani and the Deputy Commander of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), known as Hash al-Shaabi, Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes were martyred by the US in targeted airstrike against their motorcade in Baghdad airport on January 3, 2020.
