AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The second martyrdom anniversary of Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani was held at Fatemeh Masumeh Holy Shrine in Qom, south of Tehran, on Sunday night in the presence of international students.
Lieutenant-General Qassem Soleimani, the head of the IRGC elite Quds Force, and the former Deputy Commander of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were martyred along with 8 of their companions in the US strike on Baghdad airport on January 3, 2020.
General Soleimani was in Baghdad on the official invitation of Iraq's Government.
