Afghan political expert: Gen. Soleimani foiled US-Zionist plots

An Afghan party leader has said that Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani thwarted conspiracies hatched by the United States and the Zionist regime with the aim of dominating West Asia.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): An Afghan party leader has said that Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani thwarted conspiracies hatched by the United States and the Zionist regime with the aim of dominating West Asia.

Leader of the Islamic Movement of Afghanistan Party Mohammad Mukhtar Mufleh said on Sunday that Martyr Soleimani, former commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), played a key role in promoting Muslim nations in Syria, Palestine, Iraq, and other countries to stand against occupiers and terrorist groups.

Commemorating General Soleimani is in fact kind of participating in confrontation against the Zionist regime, the US and terrorist Takfiri groups, Mufleh noted.

The Afghan political expert went on to say that the Takfiri groups backed by certain regional states and especially the US sought to provide the Zionist regime with the opportunity to have a secured presence in the region, but Martyr Soleimani stood against the plot vigilantly.

Terrorist groups such as Daesh, who are aided and abetted by Washington and the Tel Aviv regime, attempted to implement their evil plots against the Islamic world via spreading terrorism, he argued, adding that Martyr Soleimani did not allow the Americans and the Zionists to go ahead with their conspiracies, so they assassinated the great general.

Martyr Soleimeni also played a big role in defending the oppressed nation of Palestine and supported the resistance movement; therefore, Afghan people attach great importance to the renowned commander, Mofleh added.

Now, his objectives such as withdrawal of the US forces from Afghanistan and defeat of the Takfiri groups in Syria and Iraq have taken place, the Afghan politician said.

On January 3, 2020, the then US president Donald Trump ordered airstrikes that martyred General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the second-in-command of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), near an international airport in Iraqi capital of Baghdad.
