AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran attempt to diminish Iranians' self-confidence and induce them to feel like they are weak in order to push them to accept the West as superior and role model, Iran's top general warned.
Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami made the remarks in a ceremony to launch third human trial of Noora vaccine for coronavirus in Tehran on Sunday, urging all those who have responsibility in the Islamic Republic to trust in capabilities of Iran and Iranians to help make progress.
The foes are trying to persuade the Iranians that they are not capable and that they should consider the West world as superior and example; so, in such a situation, officials should believe in capacities to develop the society, Salami noted.
Human-beings and communities move forward based on way of thinking, he said, warning that scientific dependence is what the enemies pursue; therefore, the Iranian nation should maintain independence and think independently.
Iranians show sympathy and compassion in dealing with friends, but they stand against enemies, because believing in God tells people to stop being afraid of arrogance, he argued.
Salami urged academics to acquire know-how and generate knowledge in order to be able to introduce Iranian and religious identity to the world properly.
Enemies are facing with high numbers of daily fatalities as a result of their failure in containing COVID-19 pandemic, he said, adding that Iran has been successful in confronting with the disease thanks to having Islam and good leadership.
Noora vaccine is a big achievement derived from thousands of hours of experience and efforts made by Iranian researchers, the commander noted, expressing gratitude to the scientists involved in the vaccine project.
Iranians have achieved great progress in recent months, the IRGC commander said, proposing collaboration with the Health Ministry to help the nation.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he expressed condolence on martyrdom anniversary of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, the commander said that the great figure is part of Muslim world's identity, which is indebted to his 40-year self-sacrifice and efforts.
