Sheikh Shahriari stresses role of interfaith meetings among Muslim clerics

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought highlighted the role of meetings held among leaders of different Islamic denominations in settling disagreements and promotion of Islamic unity.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought highlighted the role of meetings held among leaders of different Islamic denominations in settling disagreements and promotion of Islamic unity.

Sheikh Hamid Shahrairi, in part of his visit to Lahore, met with Seyyed Alireza Naqvi, representative of Ayatollah Bah-eddini.
 
Iranian cleric in this meeting referred to necessity of debates and exchange of views among Shias and Sunnis highlighting the role of such meetings in decrease of disagreements and promotion of solidarity in the world of Islam.
 
Sheikh Shahriari hailed the history of friendly ties between Iran and Pakistan and noted,” To deepen the ties between Muslims is quite important.”
 
Seyyed Alireza Naqvi, also reiterated importance of meeting between clerics in the world of Islam.
 
Leading a delegation of Iranian religious and cultural figures, Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought met with Seyyed Alireza Naqvi in part of his trip to Lahore.
