AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Referring to the nuclear talks in Vienna, the President said, "By presenting the text of Iran's proposal in the talks, it was proved to the negotiating parties that we are serious in negotiations and if the other side is determined, a good agreement will be reached".
Speaking on Saturday in a meeting with the heads of the missions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in neighbouring countries, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi said, "Administrative solutions should not be enough to solve problems, but there should be a change in understanding the issues”.
Addressing the heads of the missions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in neighbouring countries, the President said, "In your mission, you must represent the identity of the Islamic Revolution and the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is an important mission".
Ayatollah Raisi stated, "Unless a person has the capacity for the assigned mission, he cannot be successful. Martyr Haj Qasem Soleimani was a capable figure. If he was not able to cope with hardships and adversity and not be patient, he could not succeed in the region, so the key to Haj Qasem's success was to have capacity and patience”.
The President added, "In the case of coronavirus, if it were not for the actions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we might not have been able to do anything, so the role of the foreign ministry is important”.
Dr Raisi stated, "The policy of relations with neighbours is a strategic move for Iran. Domestic production must be activated, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must play its part in this regard. Consuls and ambassadors should go among Iranians abroad and not wait for them to go to embassies. Iranians living abroad are our people and they have rights that must be pursued. Committed Iranians who are interested in their ancestral homeland should invest inside Iran instead of investing abroad”.
The President added, "The trade affairs of Iranians inside and outside Iran and foreign merchants should be facilitated in order to provide better trade relations".
Regarding the role of tourism in our country's economic development, Ayatollah Raisi said, "There is a great desire to enter Iran for tourism. If the tourism, digital and maritime economy is provided, it will create jobs".
The President said, "Until today, about 100 days after the 13th government, I have had 100 contacts with the heads of foreign countries and delegations, who, without exception, all wanted to contact Iran, and none of them were satisfied with the status quo of relations between our country and their country. One of the components of power is this communication and interaction with other countries”.
Pointing out that opportunities in foreign interactions are emerging, Ayatollah Raisi referred to the effective role of borders in foreign interaction and said, "Our borders are not a threat but create opportunities for the country. The opening of border markets is a good opportunity for the country".
Dr Raisi described foreign authority as an extension of domestic authority and said, "We believe that relations with neighbouring countries should be stable. Everyone knows that the connection with the Zionist Regime by some countries in the region does not provide security for them. Wherever the Zionist Regime has infiltrated, the host country has suffered. Countries in the region can contribute to security and peace by interacting with the Islamic Republic of Iran”.
The President emphasised, "All hardships we have is because of the presence of outsiders in the region. NATO and the United States have been in Afghanistan for 20 years, but the people of this country have not felt peace for a day”.
Stating that there is an infrastructure of economic relations with neighbours, Dr Raisi said, "Deep knowledge of domestic capabilities is very important for the missions of the Islamic Republic of Iran abroad and they should introduce Iran's scientific and technical capabilities to the world".
Emphasising that we are determined to pursue a policy of interaction with our neighbours, the President said, "Today, the sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran are economically based. The strategy that the enemy is pursuing is to put Iran under sanctions, but we are pursuing two steps of lifting them and neutralising them”.
Referring to the nuclear talks in Vienna, the President said, "By presenting the text of Iran's proposal in the talks, it was proved to the negotiating parties that we are serious in negotiations and if the other side is determined, the path is clear for reaching an agreement".
Ayatollah Raisi said, "The most sanctions are in the nuclear, space and military industries, but in these industries, good progress has been made for the country, while in other industries, we have many problems".
At the end, the President instructed the Foreign Ministry to formulate and present the outcome of the conference in the form of an operational roadmap for sustainable economic cooperation with the countries of the region, especially its neighbours.
