Iran's President: Serious cooperation between two countries need in economy, fighting terrorism

In their telephone conversation, the Presidents of Iran and Turkey emphasised on serious cooperation in the field of economy and the fight against terrorism.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): In their telephone conversation, the Presidents of Iran and Turkey emphasised on serious cooperation in the field of economy and the fight against terrorism.

Speaking in a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi referred to the need for cooperation between the two countries in the fight against terrorism, and said, "The main way to fight terrorism is to respect the sovereignty of countries, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, with its excellent record of fighting terrorism, welcomes the cooperation of all countries in the fight against terrorism".

Emphasising the importance of Tehran-Ankara relations in the economic and trade fields between the two countries, Dr Raisi said, "Soon, with the holding of a joint summit in Tehran, the development of cooperation will enter a new phase".

Referring to his recent meetings and consultations in the region, the President added, "We emphasise that the problems of the region must be resolved within the region and with the active participation of regional countries, and there is no need for foreign intervention".

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of economy and security, and said, "Now the idea of cooperation has prevailed among the countries in the region and recent trips and consultations show its success".

while emphasising the holding of joint cooperation meetings between Tehran and Ankara, the President of Turkey said, "In my future visit to Tehran, the relations between the two countries will enter a new chapter of development".
