A new Salafiite Fatwa;

Sweet Pan (Zalabiah OR Jalaibi) is forbidden to eat! And a denial worse than Confirmation

Salafid Scholars of Algeria have issued a controversial and termagant Fatwa declaring use of Sweet Pan (a sweet of Ramadan al-Mubarak) Taboo (Haraam).

A salafid Sheikh of N.African country of Algeria has issued a termagant Fatwa and declared that eating of Sweet Pan – a popular Sweet of the Holy Month of Ramadan in the country – is forbidden for Muslims.

An Algerian journal “al-Khabar al-Osboiee” covered the Fatwa and wrote that “Mohammad Ali Farkoos”, being knows as “Abu Abd al-Aziz has issued a Fatwa forbidding sweet pan, a local sweet namely Taminah and other delicious and special sweets of Ramadan. Thus the above Salafid mufti – declaring the above sweets Haraam and heresy inserted in the Religion - has deprived his disciples from these delicious sweets.

His has alleged as well that there are some Cross like forms in this sweet and there is no Juridical Canonicity for using the above sweet.

This is to mention that this kind of ridiculous Sanctions and fatwas are usually issued by the Wahabi and Salafid muftis and in fact the main reason  of issuance of these fatwas is their intractable elusion from teachings of the real encyclopedists and commentators of Quran and the tradition – the Household of our Holy prophet (SAWA).

After publicity of the above rediculious fatwa the Salafi Mufti reacted and added a condition!

A personal website of Mufti Farkoos announced that he has said after a lengthy prelude, that “eating zalabiah (sweet pan) is lawful with fulfilling a condition (!) Otherwise it will be forbidden and illegal, thus he uncovered catalepsy of Salafid and Wahabi notion.

This Salafid Mufti announce in his second Fatwa that “if a person will use a food as a worship or consider it as a Traditonal Custom of Islam, while Quran and Sunnah has not canonized it, he has, in fact, canonized a new custom in Islam and this kind of canonization is forbidden”.

In an amazing fatwa he has added that “if a fasting person would believe that his fasting will never complete unless using Zalabiah (sweet pan), or a birth warming of his child is incomplete unless cooking a sweet namely Taminah, it would be a sort of canonization and Innovation (Bedaah) in Islam and it will be absolutely Haraam.

This is evident that nobody considers any specific sweet and food as a Complement of fasting and nobody intends to eat a sweet as a worship and Islamic Sunnah. But these traditional confectionaries are used in entire Islamic world to eliminate hypoglycemia caused by forbearance from food and drinks during the days of Holy Ramadan.

In fact this new Fatwa has uncovered an amazing stagnation of Wahabi and Salafid school of thought which has caused their stance against transpicuous ceremonials (Shaayer) of Islam as like as Tavassol and pilgrimage of the thumbs and shrines according  to their self assumptive resolutions and declare them forbidden and Haraam, while even a single person in Muslim Ummah do not intends to commit Shirk participating in these ceremonials as the Wahabi muftis conceive.
