AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Referring to the role and impact of promoting the culture and spirit of the Basij in all matters of individual and social life, the President said, "The Basij in every organisation and office should raise the banner of revolutionary values, compassion to address the problems of the people and call for honesty and purity".

Speaking on Monday in a meeting with Basij members of the Presidential Administration and affiliated organisations in honour of Basij Week, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi stated that responsibility and risk-taking are the main characteristics of Basijis, adding, "If in the presidential administration people are responsible and respect the clients, the other organisations will undoubtedly follow the example of this administration".

The President considered it necessary to reform the administrative system and try to strengthen efficiency in organisations and departments and said, "Efficiency in the administrative system means that employees have full knowledge of their duties and feel responsible and loving to solve the problems of people and clients".

Emphasising the importance of the spirit of human responsibility in the family and society, Dr Raisi said, "In religious culture, everyone is responsible and should feel responsible for the issues around them, and we all have a duty to promote justice, purity and intimacy, trustworthiness, and goodness".

Ayatollah Raisi added, "Having a spirit of responsibility does not allow human beings to be indifferent to their surroundings and the problems of the people".

The President pointed out that in the Qur'anic society, patience in the face of adversity and suffering and resistance to enmity is one of the basic principles, noting, "People should invite others to the good and forbid them from the bad, and the Basij member in his administration and organisation should spread the spirit of Basij and jihad among his colleagues".

Criticising the shortcomings and problems in the country's administrative system, Dr Raisi said, "Certainly, if the country's administrative system has a Basij spirit, we will not see many problems and inefficiencies, so for the efficiency of the administrative system, it is necessary to promote and expand this spirit".

The President further emphasised conscientiousness and practicing one's responsibility and said, "Everyone should know their duty properly and do it in the best possible way".

Emphasising that the country's problems can be solved with the spirit of Basij, Dr Raisi said, "The difference and advantage of the administrative system of Islamic Iran with other countries is having the spirit of Basij".

Emphasising that sanctions will never stop the country, Ayatollah Raisi said, "Every day that passes from the life of the government, I become more hopeful for the progress of the country and I am sure that serious openings will be made in various issues and today the enemies have realised that Iran stands in the position of authority and we have this authority from the blood of our martyrs and we will not allow the traces of the blood of the martyrs to disappear".

Ayatollah Raisi emphasised, "With progress in various dimensions, we expect bright days for the country".
