AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iraq’s most prominent Shia cleric Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani answered an Istifta (new inquiry) about trading with commercial centers part of whose profits is spent to help the Zionist regime of Israel.
In an Istifta, the top cleric was asked whether one was permitted to deal with commercial centers or purchase commodities from stores that spend some of their profits for supporting Israel, Al-Forat News reported.
Ayatollah Sistani answered that if it is proven that a company or commercial center is effectively supporting Israel, interacting with the company or trading in their products are not permissible.
Also, he added, one is not allowed to use or buy and sell Israeli products or those produced by companies proven to effectively support Israel.
Boycotting of Israeli products around the world has been growing rapidly in recent years and caused heavy losses to Israeli companies.
A humanitarian anti-Israeli regime movement named Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) started its activities over 15 years ago in protest against Israel’s occupation of Palestinian lands.
The movement has been campaigning for a boycott of all Israeli goods, and academic and cultural activities.
