Imam Musa Sadr, Allameh Sharaf al-Din, pioneers of unity movement: Ayatollah Ramazani

The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Allameh Sharaf al-Din and Imam Musa Sadr were the pioneers of the unity movement. The presence of Imam Musa Sadr in the churches paved the way for interfaith dialogue.”

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Allameh Sharaf al-Din and Imam Musa Sadr were the pioneers of the unity movement. The presence of Imam Musa Sadr in the churches paved the way for interfaith dialogue.”

During his visit to Lebanon, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, met with Hojat al-Islam Sheikh Hassan Abdullah, the representative of the Amal Movement in the city of Tyre.

In this meeting, while welcoming the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and the accompanying delegation, Sheikh Hassan Abdullah stated, “Despite the large number of religions and sects in the region, the cultural and propagation activities of Allameh Sayed Abdul Hussein Sharaf al-Din, and Imam Musa Sadr caused us not to see any disputes in the region. Solidarity and peaceful coexistence in this region are very good. There is a spirit of Resistance in this region, despite the presence of people of different nationalities, as well as UN forces. This spirit has made the enemy have no right to enter and interfere in the affairs of our country and region.”

“We hope to cooperate with the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the publishing and cultural affair, and to use the publications of the Assembly in this region,” he mentioned.

Following the meeting, while expressing satisfaction with the solidarity between Hezbollah and the Amal Movement, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “This alliance strengthens the Resistance. The unity of the Muslims increases the power of Lebanon and shows the high morale of the religious scholars. Our enemies are trying to tarnish this alliance and create sedition among the religions.”

“70 years ago, a book called “Qom” was published in which extensive research was done on the seminary of Qom, the Maraji Taqlid (sources of emulation), and clergies of this seminary. Everyone tried to criticize the publication of this book and say that such a book is futile. While the enemy used this research 70 years ago to create disputes between the Maraje and Ulama today. We must be very vigilant not to fall into the trap of these seditions. These conspiracies are also seen in Shiite areas,” continued the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“We believe that the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) are for all Muslims. Therefore, according to these commonalities, we must increase relations with all Muslims and Sunnis, and keep the takfiris and ISIL away from pure Muhammadan Islam. Sheikh Hassan Abdullah said that interfaith dialogue takes place in the region every six months. This news is gratifying, and these actions should be strengthened. Allameh Sharaf al-Din and Imam Musa Sadr, were the pioneers of this unifying movement. The presence of Imam Musa Sadr in the churches paved the way for interfaith dialogue, and these dialogues should be expanded and promoted,” he added.

“We are ready to pursue cultural cooperation with you in this region,” said the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the final part of the meeting, addressing the representative of the Amal movement in Tyre.
