Perpetrators behind Gen. Soleimani assassination will be punished: IRGC commander

An Iranian top general warns that the perpetrators involved in assassinating Martyr Lt Gen Soleimani are still under prosecution by Iran and will not be able to get away with their crime.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): An Iranian top general warns that the perpetrators involved in assassinating Martyr Lt Gen Soleimani are still under prosecution by Iran and will not be able to get away with their crime.

Speaking on the sidelines of the visit of foreign military attachés in Tehran to the exhibition of achievements and strategic capabilities of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force, Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh, the commander of the Force, said: "Islamic Iran has strongly resisted more than four decades and has stood against all greed and expansionism."

"Iran fought eight years of imposed war against the Baath regime supported by more than 30 countries and took captives from 11 different countries," he added on Monday.

The IRGC aerospace force commander went on to say that Iran shot down the aggressive American Global Hawk drone. "Iran attacked the heart of the American air base in Ain al-Assad, and taught them a historic lesson by its missile impacts."

"Nonetheless, the authorities and the perpetrators involved in assassinating Martyr Soleimani are still under prosecution by Iran and will not be able to get away with their crime and escape punishment," Gen Hajizadeh warned.

"Martyr Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani brought peace to the region. He fought against Takfiri groups and ISIS, which contributed to security in different countries," he said.

"If there weren't for General Soleimani's efforts and fights, we would have witnessed both domination of terrorists in the region and the export of the terrorist groups to Europe and other countries on a large scale," the IRGC commander stressed.

"Today, the security and peace in Europe owe much to General Soleimani and his companions. But, America has unfairly and cowardly assassinated him by the use of missile," he added.

"Despite all these atrocities and oppressions, America is in the process of decline and on the wane. The era of unipolarity in the world has come to an end. America cannot stand against Iran, China, Russia and independent countries. And it's going to collapse from the inside," Gen Hajizadeh noted.

Pointing to the US sanctions against Iran, he said: "America's economic sanctions against Iran have been persistent to the extent of banning the delivery of medicine for patients with rare diseases."

"We believe that countries in this region are able to conduct friendship, security and peace relying on native power and giving no permission to intervene to any evil-willing foreigners," the Iranian general said.

"We don't seek power for expansionism. The experience of the mentioned years of wars has proved that we have to be powerful to maintain peace and security," he added.

"Today, some of the countries by losing hope from America, hastily extend their arms toward the Israeli regime supposing that they can gain security from an occupier," Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh noted.

"Israel is not capable of maintaining its own security. With the determination of states and nations and by domestic and regional security, we can overcome four decades of insecurity and widespread wars in the region," the commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force concluded.

Foreign military attachés in Tehran visited the exhibition of achievements and strategic capabilities of the IRGC Aerospace Force put on display at Iran's National Aerospace Park.

Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh, the commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, welcomed the foreign military attachés in Tehran at the Aerospace Park.

In this exhibition, opened in September last year, the various achievements of the IRGC Aerospace Force from the beginning of its formation until now in missiles, air defense, UAVs, air operations and space are displayed in a vast area.
