AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The secretary general of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and his accompanying delegation visited a number of religious centers in southern Lebanon on Sunday.
Ayatollah Reza Ramazani held talks with the centers’ directors on the situation in Lebanon and the region as well as developments in the Muslim world.
They also discussed promotion of cooperation between the centers and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
Ayatollah Ramazani expressed condolences over the deaths of a number of Lebanese citizens in a gunfire in the capital Beirut on Thursday, describing the incident as a Fitna (sedition).
He said those who think they can weaken the Islamic resistance by such seditions are wrong.
In one of the meetings, Sheikh Ali Yaseen, director of a religious school in the city of Tyre said some are trying to drive a wedge between Muslim countries, especially Lebanon, and the Islamic Republic of Iran but they will fail as Iran carries the flag of true Islam and strives to serve the Muslim Ummah and the cause of Palestine.
Ayatollah Ramazani also met with the Mufti of Tyre Sheikh Hassan Abdullah at the city’s Dar-al-Ifta.
In the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the deep-rooted ties between Iran and Lebanon and called for dialogue in the Muslim world to resolve crises.
During his trip to Lebanon, the head of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly also held talks with Hezbollah Secretary General Sayed Hassan Nasrallah and Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
