AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The number of pilgrims of the holy shrine of Imam Ali (a.s.) on the anniversary of the demise of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) was announced.
The management office of the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (a.s.) announced the number of pilgrims in the anniversary of the demise of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) in Najaf.
The statement of the office states that 6 million pilgrims participated in the shrine of Imam Ali (a.s.) on the anniversary of the demise of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h).
The Iraqi sources also states that Hazrat Abbas (a.s.) Combat Division announced the deployment of its forces from Najaf province to an 11-kilometer line to Babylon province to ensure the safety of pilgrims.
According to the statement of this combat division, in the plan to provide security for the shrine of Imam Ali (a.s.) on the anniversary of the demise of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h), and in coordination with security commanders, its forces were stationed in the eastern axis of Najaf.
“The forces were deployed at a distance of 11 km from Najaf province to Babylon in five groups to ensure the safety of the pilgrims, and the forces will continue this mission until the end of the pilgrimage ceremony,” the statement of Hazrat Abbas (a.s.) Combat Division reads.
At the end of the statement, it was noted that Hazrat Abbas (a.s.) Combat Division started the implementation of the security plan for the pilgrimage to the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (a.s.) in the form of the Atabat Hashd (a subgroup of the Hashd al-Shabi) with the participation of its armored, tactical and special forces.
