Iran, Indonesia to set up direct flights

An Iranian official says Iran and Indonesia are to sign a memorandum of understanding to establish direct flights between the two countries.

Currently there are not any direct flights between Iran and Indonesia. The agreement to establish direct flights between Iran and Indonesia will be signed soon, the unnamed official said. In the meetings of the10th Iran-Indonesia Joint Economic Commission held in June it was decided that officials of the two countries would consider the establishment of direct flights between the two countries. The volume of trade between Indonesia and Iran has grown considerably in recent years, an indication of the expanding ties between the two countries.
