Arba'een around the world (1443-2021) - Iraq

Iraqi Mawkeb owners to counter evil meeting in Erbil

The head of the Mawkeb “Momahad al-Akbar” said, “We mobilized Hussaini Mawkebs in the days of Arbaeen pilgrimage to confront the evil project of compromise so that we do not see the establishment of a relationship between Iraq and Israel.”

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The head of the Mawkeb “Momahad al-Akbar” said, “We mobilized Hussaini Mawkebs in the days of Arbaeen pilgrimage to confront the evil project of compromise so that we do not see the establishment of a relationship between Iraq and Israel.”

Opposing the Erbil summit, the Iraqi Mawkeb owner said, “We, the Mawkeb owners on the way from Najaf to Karbala, who serve the pilgrims of Imam Hussain (a.s.), are against the Erbil meeting. The meeting was to betray the Iraqi people.”

“This Mawkeb, located in pillar 1222 on the way from Najaf to Karbala, serves the pilgrims of Imam Hussain (a.s.) in the Arbaeen ceremony,” said Al-Sayed Haidar Hossaini from Nasiriyah, the head of the Mawkeb “Momahad al-Akbar”, in an interview with the correspondent of ABNA News Agency.

“For several months now, there have been rumors that a project is underway to normalize relations between Iraq and Israel. Various Sunnis, Kurds, and Shiites have participated in the project. The Erbil meeting was evil, and the Marjiat of Iraq and most Iraqi figures denounced the meeting. We call for further action against the Erbil summit,” he added.

“We mobilized Hussaini Mawkebs in the days of Arbaeen pilgrimage to confront the evil project of compromise so that we do not see the establishment of a relationship between Iraq and Israel,” the Iraqi Mawkeb owner stated, considering the Erbil meeting as the first step to normalize relations between Iraq and Israel.

“On behalf of Hussaini Mawkebs in Iraq, we call on the government to condemn the Erbil Summit and to punish the participants in accordance with the Iraqi law on the guilt of having relations with Israel. If the Iraqi government does not take action, the Iraqi people will do their duty according to the shari’i fatwa in this regard without the need to obtain permission from the government,” he continued.

“Thanks to Mujahideen from Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq defeated the enemy of Islam, the terrorist group ISIL.

This victory happened thanks to the blood of the martyrs, and with the scarification of the martyrs, the Arbaeen pilgrimage has continued. The Islamic Republic of Iran helped establish security in Iraq. We hope that Iran’s assistance to the Iraqi Armed Forces will continue to increase security for the Arbaeen pilgrimage because Iran and Iraq are one nation,” said the head of the Mawkeb “Momahad al-Akbar”, referring to Iran’s assistance to Iraq in the fight against ISIL.
