AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): International Islamic Ritual Poetry Festival is honored to announce the names of its board of referees who will decide on the winners of the grand poetry competition which this year is about Imam Hussain (AS) . The board consists of the following people:
1. Mowlana Sayyid Muhammad Rizvi. Canada.
2. Dr. Muhammad-Reza Fakhr-Rohani, Iran
3. Dr. Maqsood Jafri, USA.
4. Mr. Syed Farhan Ali Bokhari, Pakistan
5. Dr. Aidan Parkes. Australia.
6. Dr. Sayyid Haidar Ghazi Jassim al-Moosawi, Iraq.
7. Dr. Mohsen Rahjerdi, Iran.
8. Dr. Oliver Scharbrodt, UK.
Although around 600 English poems on the Ashura episode have been received so far, only 180 of them have been qualified enough to have made their ways to the pre-final stage of the selection to be done for this competition.
The members of the board of refreees have been carefully chosen. They will in turn choose the best of the 180 poems to be publishd in an forthcoming anthology of Ashura poetry in English. Out of the above selection, the top-tier 10 poems will be to highlighted and nominated for receiving the grand prize.
The resullt will be announced on 17 Rabiul Awal.
