hlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The oldest remaining exegesis of the Quran is kept at Alexandria Manuscripts Museum in Egypt.
The Arabic manuscript is part of a Tafseer (Quran interpretation) written by Abu Ishaq bin Ibraheem known as al-Busti.
The copy, which is currently being repaired in a laboratory, dated back to the year 368 Hijri (978 CE).
The writer mentions a verse or part of it and then brings Hadiths (narrations) that help interpret the verse.
