AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Iraqi PM ordered to double the number of visas issued for Arbaeen pilgrims from different Islamic countries.
As the Arbaeen ceremony approaches, the Iraqi government has decided to increase the quota for pilgrims from various Islamic countries.
Previously as many as 40,000 pilgrims from Iran and Arab and Islamic countries were allowed to travel to Iraq for the Arbaeen procession while with the Iraqi PM's new order that number has now increased to 80,000.
The Iraqi government's statement stressed the commitment of all pilgrims to the prerequisites of vaccination and Covid-19 PCR testing and other health operating standards.
Previously, 30,000 Iranian were announced to travel to Iraq for Arbaeen.
