Ahlulbayt News Agency: Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad (PCPA) on Tuesday called on the African Union to reverse its decision of assigning the Israeli occupation as an observer member of the organization, describing this step as “reprehensible.”
It added in a statement, "Accepting the membership of the Zionist occupation entity in the African Union does not serve the real interests of African nations, in addition to insulting the struggles of the nations of the continent and the struggle of its generations to liberate it from colonialism and racism”, according to Quds Press.
PCPA called on the African Union to reverse this decision and urged governments, official and popular institutions, community leaders and the media throughout Africa to mobilize efforts against this decision and to expel “the Zionist occupation entity” from all its committees.
It concluded by emphasizing that the Palestinians are confident in the awareness of the African nations and their ability to confront the renewed attempts of exploitation which the “Zionist entity” is trying to market itself through ignoring the principles of truth and justice and the freedoms of peoples and international laws.
