Lebanese expert: Assassination of Gen. Soleimani, US crime against humanity

Lebanese law professor called the US assassination of Iran’s commander of IRGC Quds Forces, Lieutenant General Qassem soleimani as crime against humanity and an instance of violation of human rights by Washington.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Lebanese law professor called the US assassination of Iran’s commander of IRGC Quds Forces, Lieutenant General Qassem soleimani as crime against humanity and an instance of violation of human rights by Washington.

University of Tehran in collaboration with the center for Islamic Revolution Studies and Iran’s cultural attaché in Lebanon held webinar on “The US Violation of Human Rights” on Monday as analysts and expert participants to the event highlighted the different instances on violation of human rights by the United States.
 
He noted that the plan for assassination began with threats to attack historical sites and the Pentagon and Secretary of State confessed to that after the operation for the attack was completed.
 
Mohammad Tay, Lebanese professor of general law referred to assassination of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Muhandis by the US as an instance of violation of human rights and said the plan for the crime dates back to the President George Bush II era.
 
Lebanese professor counted sanctions and crimes against humanity as two instances of crimes committed by the US.
 
He referred to infiltration of the US in the Persian Gulf and Iran’s domestic issues as another example for Washington’s violation of human rights.
 
Webinar on “The US Violation of Human Rights” was attended by a number of intellectuals, law experts and professors on Monday July 5 in the wake of the 33rd anniversary of the USS Vincennes shooting down Iran’s passenger flight to Dubai which killed 290 passengers of crew members on board.
