AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Senior African Shia scholar and Imam of the Freetown Central Mosque of Sierra Leone, Alhaji Sheikh Ahmed Tejan Sillah has passed away.
The Sheikh Tejan Sillah also was elected as representative of the Ahlul Bayt World Assembly in Sierra Leone on January 2020.
He will be sorely missed by his ever-growing congregation. May his gentle soul rest in Heaven.
Ahmad Tejan Sillah is a Sierra Leonean Shia Muslim scholar and Islamic preacher. He is the chief imam of the Freetown Central Mosque, one of the largest mosque in Sierra Leone.
He is also one of the leaders of the Sierra Leone United Council of Imams an Islamic organisation that is made up of imams across Sierra Leone. Sillah is one of the most prominent Islamic scholars in Sierra Leone. Sillah is a Shia Muslim of the Twelver branch of Shia Islam.
