AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): In the 16th episode of the special internet program “Facing the Sky”, which is broadcast on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, pointing out that the Imams (a.s.) have the best attributes and characteristics and we should consider them as role models, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani Gilani stated, “Shiites are proud to be followers of Imam Ali (a.s.).”
“Man can learn and pay attention to many points from the reign of Imam Ali (AS),” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, stating that during his rule Imam Ali (a.s.) was able to implement justice in the true sense in society.
“Imam Ali (a.s.) has made some remarks about those who serve the people as community leaders,” he stated, referring to the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (a.s.) in the month of Ramadan.
“These people should see responsibility as an opportunity and collect luggage for their world and the hereafter by serving the people,” noted Ayatollah Ramazani, pointing out that the officials should have a view of serving the people of the society.
“The principle of service is one of the most important principles for community leaders,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, emphasizing that man should make the best use of the opportunity and blessing that God gives him.
“Officials need to know that these opportunities are fleeting and will be taken away after a period of years,” he emphasized, stating that today the officials of the country should consider serving as the most important principle in their term of responsibility.
“Sometimes a person is given a four-year opportunity to run for president, parliament, ministry, governorate, city council, etc. to work for the affairs of society and the welfare of the people. One must appreciate this opportunity,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated.
“To whom God has given many blessings, people also come to him. This is a divine success,” said the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, referring to the speech of Imam Ali (a.s.) addressed to Jaber.
“Imam Ali (a.s.) said in another situation, “If the blessings are used for God, God will make those blessings lasting for the person, and if the blessings are not used properly, they will be destroyed”,” he mentioned.
“Imam Ali (as) also emphasizes speeding up the service and meeting the needs of others,” added Ayatollah Ramazani, pointing out that if a person does something for others and expresses it, he has destroyed the (divine) reward of good deeds.
“Officials should be aware and know that if it were not for the people, they would not be in their current position,” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, saying that man should not reproach for his good deeds and solving people’s problems.
“If someone considers his good deed to be great, he has done a disgraceful act and destroyed the value and beauty of his deed,” he said, considering kindness and attention to the client as a characteristic of an official at the level of the (Iranian) Islamic Revolution.
“Imam Ali (a.s.) also said about the beauty of charity, “When you give something to charity, do it so that it is pleasing to you and you enjoy it”,” emphasized Ayatollah Ramazani, pointing out that breaking the promise in social affairs leads to the anger of the people and God.
Saying that according to the hadiths, a person who wants to meet the needs of others should pay attention to three things, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “The first is that one should underestimate the service he renders and not reproach for it. Second, he must try to cover his service and know that it will be evident itself. And third, he must hasten and rush to serve and meet the needs of others.”
“Officials must seek to serve the people in order to gain and increase public trust,” he clarified, stating that today’s society needs a service movement.
“The more the people trust the servicing officials, the more social and political security will be created,” Ayatollah Ramazani said, “At home and abroad, this security can be effective and lead to a social power.”
Stating that the enemies of Islam cannot infiltrate a nation that trusts its officials, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “How the executive, legislative and judicial branches deal with and enact protective laws for the people is effective in creating and strengthening this trust.”
“When the best kind of service is provided, the enemy never has the illusion of entering and infiltrating the country,” he added.
“The judiciary must stop violating the rights of the people,” said Ayatollah Ramazani, referring to the need for judicial security in society.
“The fight against embezzlers, thieves, and those who neglect to service people must be pursued seriously and firmly,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
“Security is for those who respect the law of the country and perform their religious and legal duties,” he added, stating that those who violate people’s rights should not have security in society.
“The traitors to the nation and the martyr-nurturing people of Islamic Iran should not feel safe and the judiciary should confront them,” emphasized Ayatollah Ramazani, pointing out that the (Iran’s) Islamic system has people who have shown their presence in various sensitive areas.
“Today, we need to implement lessons and messages of Imam Ali (a.s.) in executive affairs and serving the people,” concluded the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the end.
