AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria has recently met with a number of close friends as well as members of his office; referring to the arrival of the first anniversary of the martyrdom of General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes, he prayed for them to the Almighty and praised the efforts of General Soleimani to create unity between Shi'ites and Sunnis.
A member of the office of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria who was present at the meeting said:
“In this meeting, which took place two days ago on Sunday with the presence of the country's security forces, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky praised the two martyrs of the resistance movement, namely General Qasem Soleimani, Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and "Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes", one of the commanders of Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi.
This member of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria stressed that Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, while unable to comment on the two martyrs in the presence of Nigerian security forces, still praised the role of General Qasem Soleimani in creating unity between Shi'ites and Sunnis.
The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria emphasized in this meeting that the martyred commander "Haj Qasem Soleimani" worked very hard to create unity among Muslims.
This characteristic of the martyr "Haj Qasim Soleimani", i.e., his effort to create Islamic unity, was praised even by prominent Sunni figures to the point where Sheikh Khalid al-Mulla, head of the Iraqi Sunni Ulema Association:
“The fact is that Haj Qasem Soleimani was a supporter of religion and a moderate doctrinal and intellectual approach. And he pursued the issue of rapprochement between Islamic religions and unity among Muslims in order to witness a united, strong, advanced and Islamic Ummah and protect its wealth and all the activities thereof, especially in the religious and scientific fields.
Subsequent to the conversation, a member of the office of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria stated:
Sheikh Zakzaky was overjoyed when he learned that supporters of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria were holding ceremonies in many cities on the occasion of the first anniversary of the martyrdom of these two great commanders.
The source also said: The commemoration of two martyred commanders of the resistance in the cities of Nigeria by the Islamic Movement was held in the cities of Kano, Abuja, and Katsina, and was widely welcomed by the people in this country.
It should be mentioned that on Sunday evening, Dr. "Sanusi Abdul Qader", one of the representatives of "Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky" in Kano province, spoke about the sacrifices of the two martyrs "Haj Qasem" and "Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandis" in defense of nations in the West Asian region against ISIS terrorists and other terrorist groups, as well as the moral characteristics and actions of the two martyrs.
