AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The United Arab Emirates considers supporting the construction of the first cathedral mosque in the capital of Ingushetia. The head of the Ministry of Nationalities of the Republic, Ruslan Volkov, told “Inerfax”, quoting the chairman of the World Council of Muslim Communities (WCMC) Ali Rashid al-Nuaimi.
According to the minister, the head of the Muslim organization promised to visit the republic after the lifting of all restrictions, and to get acquainted with the situation in the religious sphere. The successful implementation of the plans will allow laying a solid foundation for the development of Islamic education and countering religious extremism not only in the republic, but throughout the entire North Caucasus Federal District, Volkov said.
The construction of the first cathedral mosque in the republic in Magas was started in 2010, and was to be finished in 2013, but the construction was suspended due to lack of funds.
