AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Muslim businessman from Naberezhnye Chelny, Rustam Gatin, provided hot food to several dozen of homeless and needy people of the region. According to him, they were mostly elderly people.
“We fed them with pea soup, naval pasta, meatballs, as well as treated them with tea and cookies and gingerbreads. So far we are distributing food only once a week, but we plan to increase it to twice”, the man shared.
Local mass media report that Rustam Gatin is known in Naberezhnye Chelny as the ex-manager of the city’s first restaurant of Tatar cuisine “Kaymak”.
After a while, he took up catering at public events, and also opened a halal hotel. The idea to provide food to the homeless came to him during the coronavirus pandemic.
