Webinar on "Freedom of Expression from Perspective of Prophet Mohammad" held in Tanzania

On the auspicious occasions of birthdays of Prophet Mohammad (SA) and Imam al-Sadiq (AS) and the arrival of the Unity Week, the Iranian Cultural Mission in Tanzania organized a webinar titled "Freedom of Expression from the Perspective of the holly Prophet of Islam (SA).

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On the auspicious occasions of birthdays of Prophet Mohammad (SA) and Imam al-Sadiq (AS) and the arrival of the Unity Week, the Iranian Cultural Mission in Tanzania organized a webinar titled "Freedom of Expression from the Perspective of the holly  Prophet of Islam (SA).

According to the Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), in this program, Sheikh Mohammad Eidi, one of the great Sunni sheikhs of Tanzania, said Islam is a religion that has affirmed freedom of thought and expression. Hence, Islam always invites people to exchange ideas and dialogue based on logic, but Islam believes that each other"s opinions and thoughts should be respected when talking. Religion is a system and a direct way that obeys all laws.

He went on saying that I had the honor to travel to Iran and I learned a lot there. I realized that Iran is not only a country of Shiites, there are also Sunnis in different areas and they have their own mosques and they live in peace with their Shiite brothers.

Sheikh Hamid Jalaleh, the Director of Imam Sadigh (SA) Seminary, condemned the French president"s insult against the holy Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Mohammad Mustafa (SA). He added that Muslims can live with other communities without any problems according to the teachings of the Prophet of Islam.

Sheikh Meraj Salom, from the city of Mushi, said a leader of a European country insults the Prophet of Islam (SA) and unfortunately many people remain silent. We must try to wake up the people and defend our Holy Prophet against the enemies.

Sheikh Mohammad Mubarak Shahbal, one of the great Sunni scholars from Tanga, was another speaker at the webinar, who spoke about the moral characteristics and manners of the Prophet (SA).

On the occasion of the birthdays of Hazrat Mohammad (SA) and Imam Sadigh (AS), a ceremony was held in the said University attended by managers, high ranking clergies, scholars, and the Ambassador and Cultural Attaché of Iran.

Seyyed Aref Ali Naghavi, director of Al-Mustafa University, welcomed the guests and then, the cultural envoy of Islamic Republic of Iran to the important events that took place on the 13th of Aban, including the reason for calling this day Student Day in Iran, the exile of Imam Khomeini RH) and the capture of the spy nest.

Citing the moral character of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH), he denounced the comments but the French president Macron, and expressed surprise that a president does not understand the difference between insult and freedom of expression.

Sayyad Nejad, the head of the representative office of International Al-Mustafa University in Tanzania and Malawi, spoke about piety, perseverance, following the manners of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and the sincerity of the believer.

Alvandi, the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran"s Diplomatic Mission in Tanzania, stressed the need for patience in seeking knowledge and benefiting from teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
