AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The President sent a message on the occasion of the Holy Defence Week, stressing that the Holy Defence Week is the reminder of the freedom and self-sacrifice of the people who were able to resist the plots and conspiracies of the enemies of Islam and Iran, and recorded their glorious victory in the history.
Dr Hassan Rouhani, stated in this message that was read on the grave of Haj Qasem Soleimani by the Vice-President and the Chief of the Martyrs and Veterans' Affairs Foundation, “The 40th anniversary of the start of the war imposed on Iran is a happy opportunity to think about the teachings of the Holy Defence, the efforts and sacrifices of the martyrs and veterans, and the steadfastness of the free people who sacrificed themselves to present the righteousness of religion, the Islamic Revolution and loyalty to the homeland before the world".
Dr Hassan Rouhani's message reads:

The Holy Defence Week is the reminder of the freedom and self-sacrifice of the people who were able to resist the plots and conspiracies of the enemies of Islam and Iran, and recorded their glorious victory in the history.
The outcome of the steadfastness and resistance of the Iranian people over the past 40 years is the insight of the Iranian people who have been raising martyrs to resist the enemies' attacks.
The 40th anniversary of the start of the war imposed on Iran is a happy opportunity to think about the teachings of the Holy Defence, the efforts and sacrifices of the martyrs and veterans, and the steadfastness of the free people who sacrificed themselves to present the righteousness of religion, the Islamic Revolution and loyalty to the homeland before the world
Martyr Haj Qasem Soleimani was one of the heroes who achieved great and prosperous victories thanks to their courage and sacrifices in the field of truth against falsehood and the fight against the takfiris and terrorists.
I would like to show my deepest respect to the high levels of all the honourable martyrs and sacrifices in the era of the Holy Defence.
