Member of General Assembly of Ahlulbayt (a.s.) World Assembly passed away

Dr. Rashid Farokhi a member of the "General Assembly" of the World Assembly of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) passed away.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Dr. Mohammad Vahid Rashid Farokhi, a member of the General Assembly of the World Assembly of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and an active member of the International Charity Foundation of Muslim Physicians (ICFMP) died of coronavirus on Saturday, August 15, 2020.

He was an activist for the Assembly on Shiites issues in Central and Latin America, who offered many services in the region to the Shiites and Ahl al-Bayt (AS)school.

Consulting and cooperating with the central office of Europe and the United States of World Assembly of Ahl al-Bayt (AS), efforts to promote the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in Latin America, interaction to organize the Shiite affairs of Central American countries (such as Haiti), and friendly and compassionate assistance to Latin seminary students studying in Iran, were of his services that the late scholar sincerely provided.

He was also an active member of the International Charity Foundation of Muslim Physicians (ICFMP) which is a charity foundation and subsidiary institution of the World Assembly of Ahlal-Bayt (AS).

The foundation has provided many services in deprived Shiite areas and provided medical assistance to displaced persons and victims of natural disasters in Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Myanmar, etc.

Among the services of the late Dr. Mohammad Vahid Rashid Farokhi at the ICFMP charity foundation are the following: preparing and sending medicine and medical supplies for the Arbaeen Mawkebs [places set up to cater Husseini pilgrims], presence in Iraq and providing free medical services to participants in Arbaeen Great Walk, supplying and sending medicine and medical items to the displaced and presence in the border area of Myanmar and Bangladesh to serve the expelled Rohingya people.

The free visit for clergies and seminary students was another voluntary and benevolent act of the Dr. Rashid Farokhi that he performed in some seminary centers.

Dr. Rashid Farokhi also had an outstanding moral character. He was a man of sincerity, love, compassion, unpretentiousness and humility which made him popular with his colleagues as well as Latin seminary students.

After enduring coronavirus for a while, he finally passed away in Tehran on Saturday, August 15, 2020.

Ahlulbayt (AS) News Agency offers condolences to Imam Mahdi (AS), all Shiites and especially family of the deceased for this irreparable loss, and wishes divine mercy and forgiveness for him, and patience and reward for his family.
