AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The "16th Resistance International Film Festival" will be held in two separate sections.
The detail of the festival is as follow:
Statement of Mission
Resistance International Film Festival is regarded as one of the most prestigious international film festivals in Iran. The festival, with its unique view to the discourse of the Islamic Revolution, aims to extend the revolution’s dialogue in the context of art, making it an out-standing cultural event.
It was the first film festival held after the Islamic Revolution, with 15 biennial rounds since 1983. It was first organized as a non-competitive event. Later it was expanded to a film festival. Since the 11th round, the festival developed to an international competition to capture the attention of the world’s independent filmmakers.
Of the prominent aims of the festival is to repel alien cultural, economic and media invasion; it has made the festival a symbol of resistance to global imperialism, terrorism and International-Zionism, and the focus of the attention of many revolutionary movements around the world.
The festival provides the pretext for the international filmmakers to engage with the discourse of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, exchange of experience and international thought among filmmakers.
The Association of Cinema of Revolution and Sacred Defense as a non-governmental organization hosts the 16th Resistance International Film Festival, with the support and contribution of the Revayat Cultural Foundation.
This festival has a remarkable focus on “Development and Amplification of the Global Discourse of Cinema of the Islamic Revolution and Resistance on the Second Step Manifest of the Islamic Revolution”.
Filmmakers around the world are welcome to submit documentaries, short and feature, and animated films relevant to the festival topics.

One film will be selected out of all the Best Films which are selected by the other juries in the festival.
Rules and Regulations
The films must be new or have been completed after January 2018.
All the national and international filmmakers can submit their works to the festival.
The entries must not have logos and/or watermarks.
All non-English submissions must have English subtitles. It is recommended that entrants send the subtitle files separately.
Submitting films is free of charge.
After the delivery to the festival office, based on the schedule, the submitted works will be evaluated in two stages by the selection committee and by the jury.
The entries must be produced and/or directed by the submitting filmmaker(s) or responsible party with ownership rights. The entrant is considered as the party with ownership rights
Submission is available through moqavematfilmfest.ir and Filmfreeway platform.
Each entry must be accompanied by the following:
Director's photo, posters and official pictures of the film, the film dialogues and synopsis along with the director's biography in order to be published on the festival website and in the festival booklet.
If there are more than one scriptwriter, producer or director for one film, only one award could be given to the winner.
There is no limitation in the number of the submitted works.
All the competition entries will receive “Participation Certificate” and all the selected works will receive “Selection Certificate”.
o The submitted films will not be returned and they will be kept in the festival film bank for educational and research purposes.
The festival office is allowed to use up to 5 minutes of the footage of the submitted films on websites or the national TV for promotional purposes.
Films made in/from Israel are not eligible to enter.
The festival office will decide on any unpredicted issues.
