14th martyrdom anniversary of symbol of Sunni-Shia unity 'Allama Hassan Turabi' in Karachi

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): 14th martyrdom anniversary of Pakistani Shia scholar Allama Hassan Turabi observed in Karachi.

Karachi-based eminent leader of Tehreek-e-Jafaria Pakistan (TJP), Allama Hassan Turabi, has played lading role in mainstream religio-political politics.

His family, supporters and the party remember him on the 14th anniversary of his martyrdom.

TJP leader Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi lauded services of Allama Hassan Turabi for the nation and the community.

Allama Hassan Turabi led Karachi-based Shia Muslim community in very much difficult times in their history.

He became a symbol of unity of Sunni-Shia Muslims from the platform of TJP, Shia Ulma Council, Islami Tehreek and alliances Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal and Milli Yakjehti Council.

Besides, he had joined the hands of Mufti Nizamuddin Shamzai who hosted him at Jamia Binouria regularly for unity meetings.

Takfiri suicide bombers exploded near the entrance of Allama’s house in Abbas Town Karachi on 14th July 2006.

Hundreds of thousands of mourners attended his funeral prayers in Karachi that turned historic event.

Allama Sajid Naqvi said that Allama Turabi played key role in foundation of MMA and MYC.

Furthermore, he said Allama Turabi also preached unity of Muslims truly in accordance with Quran and Ahle Bayt’s teachings.
