AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran an Indonesia referred to the friendly and developing relations between the two countries and stressed further deepening of ties and cooperation between Tehran and Jakarta to serve both nations’ interests.
In the phone call that took place on Monday, President Hassan Rouhani congratulated the holy month of Ramadan to the Indonesian government and nation, expressing hope that Ramadan brings the best blessings for all Muslims.
The Presidents of the Iran and Indonesia also talked about the outbreak of coronavirus in the world and the two countries’ plans to fight the virus, as well as sharing experience and scientific achievements, as well as developing cooperation for meeting each other’s needs.
Dr Rouhani pointed out, "The Islamic Republic of Iran has achieved good success in the field of science and technology and supplying and manufacturing requirements such as test kits, ventilators, CT scans and N95 masks, and is ready to cooperate and interact with Indonesia in this regard”.
Referring to the friendly and historical relations between the two countries, the Presidents of Iran and Indonesia expressed hope that the holding of the 13th meeting of the Joint Commission on Cooperation between the two countries will accelerate the implementation of agreements between them and further deepen Tehran-Jakarta relations.
Dr Rouhani said that today the US sanctions against Iran are in conflict with fundamental human rights, adding, "Illegal opposition could be dangerous in the conditions when all countries in the world are fighting coronavirus”.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo also expressed satisfaction with Iran's success in the fight against coronavirus, saying, "Today, coronavirus has created difficult conditions for the world, and in the current situation, all countries, especially Islamic countries, must help each other".
