AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A Boeing 737 operating for a Ukrainian airline crashed minutes after takeoff South-West of Tehran Wednesday morning.
The plane carrying 180 passengers and crews had just started leaving Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport for Kiev when it crashed in an area between the towns of Parand and Shahryar, South-West of the capital.
The Boeing 737-8 with registry UR-PSR was operating for Ukraine's UIA company.
There is yet no report on the cause of the crash, but Boeing 737 passenger planes are notorious for frequent technical issues.
Twenty-two rescue teams have rushed to the crash site, but reports said no one has survived the incident.
