The ISIS extremist group has executed two of its own fighters in the city of Mosul in Iraq’s northwestern Nineveh province on charges of treason, informed local sources reported on Sunday.

Hashim Khidr al-Allou, an Iraqi Turkmen fighter and member of ISIS, was beheaded for communicating with the Iraqi government forces in Tal Afar in northwestern Iraq.

“Al-Allou was arrested on Friday, and the group’s leadership ordered his execution on Sunday on charges of treason for leaking security information about ISIS military movements to the Iraqi army,” head of Nineveh media center Raafat al-Zarari said. “He was beheaded in central Mosul.”

Also on Sunday, the terrorist group arrested and executed its member Junaid Yassin Ali Aiwaz on charges of ‘high treason’ for trying to escape the ISIS-held city of Mosul.

“ISIS accused Aiwaz of coordinating his escape with the Iraqi government, which is considered a high treason according to the ISIS-led Sharia Court. The man was beheaded on Sunday evening in front of dozens of people in western Mosul,” al-Zararo said.

ISIS leadership believes that some of its militants and locals are leaking security information about the group’s movements to its enemies. Arbitrary arrests and public executions have mounted, and every citizen is being deemed a suspect in the areas under the group’s control, according to local sources.
