AhlulBayt News Agency - One year after entering the Yarmouk Camp in southern Damascus, the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) has seized almost all of this once thriving Palestinian district after expelling any group challenging their authority.

On Wednesday, ISIS continued where they left off the day before, striking Jabhat Al-Nusra’s (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) defenses along Ja’ouneh Street.

The terrorist group would seize the remaining buildings in the Haifa Projects of Yarmouk Camp, taking control of the northern part of Ja’ouneh Street after a fierce battle with Jabhat Al-Nusra.

As a result of their advance on Wednesday, ISIS now controls as much as 90-95% of Yarmouk Camp.

Jabhat Al-Nusra has been forced to entrench themselves near the Palestine Roundabout that leads into the neighboring Tadamon District; if Ja’ouneh Street is lost, the entire district will fall along with it.
