Syria: ISIS on the brink of seizing Yarmouk Camp in Damascus

The so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) is three street blocks away from imposing full control over the Yarmouk Camp District of Damascus after a series of firefights with Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda) these last ten days.

AhlulBayt News Agency - The so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) is three street blocks away from imposing full control over the Yarmouk Camp District of Damascus after a series of firefights with Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda) these last ten days.

According to the terrorist group’s official Telegram account, ISIS has seized every site in the Yarmouk Camp District, except for Ja’ouneh Street, Haifa Street, and the Palestine Roundabout.

If ISIS seizes the entire district, they will be in position to threaten Al-Tadamon and Qadam, along with the last neighborhoods in southern Damascus.

Currently, there is no Syrian Arab Army (SAA) or Palestinian resistance in the camp, so ISIS is just combating their former allies that allowed them to enter Yarmouk in March 2015.
