ISIS to Execute People Celebrating Valentine’s Day in Iraq's Mosul

ISIS has issued a fatwa (religious decree) to execute anyone who celebrates “Love Feast” in the city of Mosul, while decided to prevent wearing red clothes, Kurdistan Democratic Party announced on Sunday.

AhlulBayt News Agency - Kurdistan Democratic Party announced on Sunday, that the so-called Islamic state in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) issued a fatwa to execute anyone who celebrates “Love Feast” in the city of Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad), while decided to prevent wearing red clothes.

Media official in Kurdistan Democratic Party in Mosul Saeed Mamousini said in a breif statement “The so-called al-Sharia Court in Mosul issued a fatwa to execute anyone who celebrates Valentine’s Day in the city because of the prohibition of these occasions.”

Mamousini added, “ISIS also decided to prevent wearing red clothes or any expression of this occasion in the areas controlled by them.”

ISIS trade organs in Mosul

The poverty and famine that surround the Iraqi city of Mosul obliged a number of its residents to sell their organs, according to media reports and sources on the ground.

ISIS that claims to establish an Islamic Caliphate in Mosul is buying these organs, especially kidneys in exchange of princely sum.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party spokesman in Mosul Saeed Mamousini said in a statement “Mosul hospitals have seen more than 70 cases of local residents, mostly males, who were forced to sell their kidneys in exchange for three thousand dollars to provide food for their families.”

The Kurdish official added, “ISIS sells these kidneys to its members in the Syrian city of Raqqa with triple the price.”
