Mufti of Crimea haji Emirali Ablayev and First Deputy Chairman of the Majlis of Crimean Tatar people, President of the World Congress of the Crimean Tatars Refat Cubar attended the groundbreaking ceremony,Crimean News Agency (QHA) said.
The head of local Muslim community Server Hasan was quoted as saying that "Everybody has waited the day when the construction of a mosque start in the village for several years."
According to him, Aqmescit state rayon administration through various excuses refused to allocate a land plot more than three years. "However, thanks to personal assistance of the Deputy Head of Republican Committee for Land Resources Enver Cemaleddin we have got 0.9 hectares for construction of the complex in the end of last year, " the report quoted Hasan as saying.
Meanwhile, Muslim communities said that they needed funds and donors to make such big complex and called on sponsors for aids.
As QHA reported Mufti of Crimea Ablayev told the residents that "The Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea surely will help to find donors to the community, which will give the construction of complex a lift. Muftiyat will do everything he can do in order to help the community."
