AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronot reported that the Higher Planning Committee of the Israeli Civil Administration would meet on Thursday to approve thousands of new settlement units in the West Bank.

“For the first time in seven months, building 3,988 settlement units will be approved,” the Hebrew newspaper added.

According to the newspaper, the settlement units would receive final approval to be built on the settlements of Dolev, Mitzpe Dani, Shvut Rahel, Nariah, Givat Ze'ev, and Efrat. In addition, other units would be endorsed.

Fanatic Jewish settler groups had protested in front of the Israeli government offices earlier this week, calling for increasing the number of settlement units.
