The occupation forces prevented worshipers from reaching the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil, and expelled those already there, in preparation for the storming of the campus by the Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
Our correspondent confirmed that "the occupation forces have toughened restrictions on the movement of citizens living near the Ibrahimi Mosque and closed all outlets leading to the Ibrahimi Mosque." The IOF established "crossings around the Ibrahimi Mosque as part of its plan to tighten its control."
In an interview one of the residents in the neighborhood of the Ibrahimi Mosque said, “We are continuing to confront the occupation despite all its measures and attacks.”
Earlier today, eyewitnesses reported that "dozens of Palestinians raised the Palestinian flag after the Asr prayer in front of the entrance to the Ibrahimi Mosque, and chanted condemning the intention of Israeli President Isaac Herzog to storm it."
Witnesses said that the Israeli occupation forces beat the protesters and arrested a citizen.
The Israeli occupation has gone too far: PIJ spokesman
"The Israeli occupation's president's move is a continuation of the Judaization process," said PIJ West Bank spokesperson Tariq Ezzedine, assuring that the resistance faction would not allow the occupation to impose new facts on the ground.
Ezzedine underscored that the Israeli occupation is taking criminality against the Palestinian people too far before the eyes of the complicit normalizing states.

"It is highly probable that popular demonstrations will take place in defense of the Ibrahimi Mosque," Ezzedine explained, asserting that the uprising has not stopped and the Palestinian people are still resisting by all means possible.
Additionally, according to Ezzedine, the Israeli occupation is using internal Palestinian issues to bolster its occupation and settlements.
"The Israeli president's step proves that everyone is leaning toward the right," reported Hamas spokesman in occupied al-Quds, Mohammad Hamadeh.

In turn, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Wasel Abu Yousef, explained that "there is an aggressive policy of escalation against the Ibrahimi Mosque," pointing out that "the storming by the President of the Israeli occupation of the site reflects the aggressive and criminal policy of escalation."
Ayo Youssef stressed that "the occupation is trying to impose facts on the ground by storming the site, noting that there is US support for the Israeli occupation in eroding the rights of our people."

Earlier today, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the attacks on the Ibrahimi Mosque and its consequences for security in the region, considering that "the storming of the Ibrahimi Mosque and al-Luban al-Sharqiya is an official adoption of settler terrorism."
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement (PYJ) also warned of the consequences of Israeli President Isaac Herzog's storming of the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil, noting that "the Al-Aqsa Intifada came in response to the storming of it by former Israeli PM Ariel Sharon."
