Israeli occupation forces detains critically injured Palestinian young man

Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said on Saturday that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) told the family of Hamza Abed, 19, that he is detained after he was transferred to Rambam hospital in Haifa.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said on Saturday that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) told the family of Hamza Abed, 19, that he is detained after he was transferred to Rambam hospital in Haifa.

The PPS added that Abed, who was shot in the head after the IOF stormed the Jenin refugee camp on Friday, suffers from leg and hand paralysis and is now kept under artificial respiration.

Abed’s family said that the IOF detained him as soon as the ambulance carrying him arrived at the al-Jalama military checkpoint. They added that he was held for three hours before arriving at the hospital.

“Israel must be held responsible for the repercussions of the brutal crime committed against Abed in addition to the repeated crimes against the Palestinian people,” the PPS underlined.

Most of the wounded Palestinians who were detained recently are from the West Bank city of Jenin, it pointed out.
