AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Responsible of Ghadir Courtyard’s banquet hall said, "Over 66 thousand non-Iranian pilgrims have enjoyed Razavi blessed food since current year’s beginning".
Ali Asqar Yazdani, responsible of Imam Reza’ (A.S.) banquet hall, stated, "About 2 million and 487 thousand people have been served at Ghadir Courtyards’ banquet hall since the beginning of the current Persian year". He also said, "Out of this number, 66 thousand were non-Iranian pilgrims".
Her referred to the capacity increase of this center and added, "Capacity of this hall was 10 thousand people for the two meals of lunch and dinner at the beginning of the center’s work. At the time being, however, the capacity is about 13 thousand for all meals of breakfast, lunch, and dinner during non-occasional days. 7 thousand of these 13 thousand have been allocated for the lunch meal, 5 thousand for the dinner, and about one thousand for the breakfast".
Yazdani referred to the feeding project of deprived people conducted by Astan Quds Razavi every year during Ramadan and stated, "During last Ramadan, up to 40 thousand blessed food were cooked and distributed in deprived neighborhoods. In addition to hosting pilgrims at the banquet hall, 10 thousand blessed foods have also been sent every day to the deprived areas this year".
Responsible of Imam Reza’s (A.S.) banquet hall located at Ghadir Courtyard reiterated, "16 thousand and 18 thousand blessed foods were distributed during last Tasua and Ashura respectively. These meals were distributed among mournful pilgrims at Imam Khomeini (A.S.) Portico".
Saying that this banquet hall provided on-foot pilgrims of the previous year’s last ten days of Safar with 18 thousand blessed food, he stressed, "1 thousand and 5 hundred meals are cooked on Thursdays at Imam Reza’s banquet hall through a cooperation with management of pilgrims’ wealth affairs. These cooked meals are sent to the deprived towns. Also, Astan Quds Razavi’s assistance for needy people affairs has got its programing during which food ceremonies are held in mosques of the city’s outskirt. Receiving mosques’ lists, we provide their needed food".
He reminded, "Imam Reza’s (A.S.) banquet hall at Ghadir Courtyard was opened on 29th of Esfand, 1395/ 19th of March, 2017 by Astan Quds Razavi’s custodian and it has hosted lots of Razavi pilgrims up to now. Besides 90 official staff and the supply and support institute, 130 men and 80 women are working voluntarily at this center".
Yazdani referred to the cooking process of the center and added, "Gas and steam energies are employed to cook blessed food of the banquet hall and the process is both mechanical and half-industrial so that the quality, quantity and speed in cooking can be highly observed".
He stated, "One of the advantages of industrial cooking at Imam Reza (A.S.) banquet hall is lowering fragility of the Iranian rice during cooking process. In addition to the traditional stoves, three are around 24 steam machines for cooking stew. The existing technology in these machines lead to more qualitative food".
