Iran turns to UN over violation of its airspace by US

Iran will complain to the United Nation over the violation of its airspace by the US.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran will complain to the United Nation over the violation of its airspace by the US.

An unknown source with knowledge about the case said on Thursday that Iran in a letter to the United Nation will complain against the violation of its airspace and territory by US surveillance drone, Iran Press reported citing IRIB news agency.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi on Thursday reacted to the shooting down of a US surveillance drone flying over Iran’s southern skies, voicing the country’s “strong protest to such aggressive and provocative measures.”

"Tehran strongly warns against any 'illegal and aggressive' violation of Iranian airspace and territory by any foreign intruder," he added, stressing: "All the responsibility for such moves lies on the aggressors."

IRGC has shot down a US RQ-4 spy drone close to the Iranian province of Hormozgan in Persian Gulf Shores on Thursday.
