Imam Khamenei: Colonialists seek to divert Iranians from their talent

In a soft war, the colonialists seek to divert the Iranian nation from their talent, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution says.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): In a soft war, the colonialists seek to divert the Iranian nation from their talent, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution says.

"When negligence of their ability rules a nation, the plunder of that nation will be easier. Negligence is the prelude to plunder, plunder increases negligence. Negligence and plunder go hand in hand," Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday morning during a meeting with a group of academic elites and outstanding scientific scholars.

"What makes an elite, is not just mental talent and capacity. There are many who are talented; they also have mental capacity but all that is wasted. Their talents are not used properly and they do not become elite," he added.

The Leader highlighted: "What makes the elite, in addition to mental talent and capacity, is the appreciation of this truth and this blessing. This should be appreciated and work and effort should be done based on it."

Ayatollah Khamenei noted: "Our country is higher than the world average in terms of mental talent. This is not a claim, this thing has been proven and it is certain that our country is potentially elite, our nation is potentially elite."

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution pointed out: "An important part of the soft war of the colonialists has been that the nation - now our nation or any nation that has talent - to neglect its own talent, to disregard its talent, or even to put it in a position where the nation itself denies this talent."
